This feel like such a familiar scene to me. I can remember many hours gathered around my mom while she read to us and am not surprised that she is passing down that tradition to her grandchildren. I love reading aloud to my kids but they all seem to be going in separate directions during story time. Nina wants to eat the books, Clementine has one question per sentence and Elijah tries to be patient with his sisters. I guess what I really need is three different story times! Apryl always said that if she was elected president, she would appoint mom Secretary of Literacy. I think they would both do an excellent job in their respective positions.
