From Today

Here are a few images from our day today. Much seasonal beauty, not much napping. My want in life is to emphasize the good but I would never want to lead you faithful readers astray with an unrealistic view of our life here in the great northwest. It is wonderful. I am truly thankful. And our walk today was predicated by much wailing by my youngest as she refused to sleep. Much back and forth ended with tired submission to make the best of a day that could, with my choosing, be full of good. And sure enough, it was.

Go play on the freeway takes on new meaning when me actually do play on the the freeway.

He is fishing for leaves. Yeah for achievable goals!

The freeway park is a significant architectural landmark and I wonder what, if any, impact it will make on my children's aesthetic palette. We make our way through these brute lanes at least once a week, for better or worse and I have to say that I always enjoy it.

Another touchstone in our lives; The Seattle Public Library,

Never judge a book by (the taste of ) its cover

  1. I applaud your choice to be optimistic. Optimism comes less naturally to me, but it's still equally important for me to work to see the good. Thanks for that perspective.
