It was this time last week that we gathered our healthy little ones and walked a simple 5k in support of kids who are suffering with a brain tumor. We walked on Team Cash in a show of solidarity for our little friend who turned two that same weekend. His parents are friends who share a similar story to ours in how they added to their family after many years as a twosome and I often wonder what I would want from my friends, if my son had a brain tumor. How would I ask for your help if it were me? The least we could do was accept the invitation to carry his name on our chests and walk with all who could come and cheer them on. It was the very least we could do. The worst would be to feel forgotten and alone as you lean head long into the dark unknown of cancer. Jack and Wendi are apart of the faithful saints and I hope that the crush of prayer and love hold them up, even when their knees shake and steps forward seem impossible. They are suffering with grace that is truly humbling.

Race for hope
