The Big Guy saved our skin this week. He had the forethought to purchase sleds before the snow arrived, giving us a head start on the enjoyment of our white winter wonderland. The sun was shining, the snow had stopped falling and we herded the heavily robed shorties out into the brisk day. Clementine could not wrap her head around the fact that it could be sunny AND cold, but cold it was; 20 degrees (which is like -10 for Seattleites)

Little sister pooped out first, the frozen limbs being more compelling than the sled riding.
...and then Big Sister was done. Our tropical baby does NOT like being cold.
Elijah and Grandpa definitely outlasted the rest of us. If it is possible that two people could keep each other warm by sheer giddiness, they did it. Thank you again grandpa! You are the best!
