Flaming Stump of Thanks

This will be the second year that our family kicks off the thanksgiving season with a Thanksgiving Tree. We have a little box of paper leaves cut out and ready for writing whenever we feel inspired by something we are grateful for. The box sits on the table, so much of what we are thankful for seems to be something to eat. The biggest changes with this years tree are:

1. Clementine is able to write some of her own leaves.
2. Nina is slowly destroying the tree, from the roots up. We are in a race with her range of reach so that the "tree" is now at about my eye level. A floating trunk is what we have ended up with. Funny enough, Nina is a prominent subject of our leaves and we are all unanimous in our love for our little "beaver".

  1. We're having similar problems here now that Alathea pulls up easily. Today she pulled Sophia's artwork off their bedroom door. We have to keep moving things higher and higher to escape her reach. But I've been warning Sophia that a day will come when there won't be anywhere high enough to keep Alathea from diving in...look out! :-)
