Christmas Eve Traditions: Part 1

We have a few precious traditions that survive every Christmas, and one of the most "Hurtish" of the traditions is the Christmas Eve walk and the opening of the stockings. Mom stays behind to prepare a tasty spread while everyone else goes on a long walk telling stories, jokes and singing songs. Larry was the original yarn spinner, but now all the adults get to take a turn and this was the second year that I stayed behind to tend to the baby and the snacks. Andrew and I have enjoyed a Christmas Eve walk in many places over many years, and it is special to pass down the expectation of this tradition to the next generation
