I can't talk now, I'm eating THESE beauties.

Life has been full these past few weeks, hence the lack of posts. Full of good things though. Like these little beauts I made for dinner this past weekend. Asian style wingettes with sesame seeds. Finger licking good and a worthy death for the dozen or so birds that gave up their gams for our dining pleasure. I know this is not a food blog, but I am embracing the random right now.

Drum roll please............................... Ta DA!

And the details:

Sticky Sesame Chicken Wings
1 large garlic clove
3/4 t salt
2 T soy sauce
2T hoisin sauce
2T honey
1t Asian sesame oil
pinch cayenne
3 lb chicken wingettes or wings
1 1/2 T sesame seeds
1 scallion finely chopped (green part only)

Put oven rack in upper third of oven and preheat to 425. Line a large shallow baking pan with foil and lightly oil. Mince garlic and mash into paste with salt. Stir into soy, hoisin, honey, oil and cayenne. Add wingettes to sauce and coat. Lay wingettes in single layer on baking sheet and cook, turning once, for about 35 min. Toss warm chicken in sesame seeds and onion.

I needed more spice and sauce, so we whipped up a little side of Shriracha, soy, pinch of sugar and a little mayo. Tiny, hot swimming pool for our nuggets.
