Happy Friday

Can you believe that this is the last Friday of the month?! I don't know that I have enough energy for much more summer fun, but it still seems hard to believe that this season is coming to an end. We have attended our first "Kindergarten Get To Know You" function, the school supplies have been purchased, the last summer hurrahs have been planned and the final stretch is in sight. The fall, routine, shorter days and big transitions are just around the corner. I am a big advocate of enjoying where you are and what you are doing at the moment. I don't find that pining for the past or rushing to the future bring me much fruit. Plus, I just ruin it for everyone around me by doing that. True, I am tired, but worn thin by happy, crazy fun. I kind of feel like the velveteen rabbit; one button eye loose, plush missing from my most loved on bits, and a lumpy bum. And very important to my little people.

Below are some shots of a day spent at a beautiful mountain lake just 30 minutes from home. Yes, the climbing tree IN the water was almost more then their brains could grasp.
