Happy Weekend

I hope you all had a happy, not too hot and restful weekend. I stole a few moments alone on Saturday; a necessity during the summer and all it's busyness. Our family life ebbs and flows with the seasons in a way that is exceptional in an urban existence. The Summer is high season for Andrew and I; busy, productive, cultivating for the winter months and very demanding. We store up, live long light filled days and spend ourselves completely. I struggle to keep up with the long days, parenting alone and yet I know that this season is so short. Like a burst of hot light; come and gone before your eye has time to adjust. All of this to say, a couple hours on a Saturday morning, when my body is not a rock climbing wall for little ones and I can finish an article in my favorite Least Trashy of The Trashy magazines, is very welcome.

To all you mums of little ones out there: Keep up the good work!
