Plop, plop acorns drop.
Hurry, scurry, squirrels hop.
Pumpkins ripen, quick, quick.
Apples, corn - pick, pick.
Crunch, Crunch, people walk.
Aak, aak, seagulls squawk.
Honk, honk, geese call.
We woke this morning to fall. Subtly crisp - first sweater - warm milk - fall. Yesterday was sunblock and water wings and today felt like an entire shift towards the receding, burnished months of autumn. After taking our bike ride (photographed for you below), Nina and I read our favorite season book, which is excerpted above. Welcome fall!
