A trip to the hardware store produced a new toy in the house. I hear that the other tools of interest were a hatchet and a sledge hammer, so I consider myself lucky. Apparently the young squire was using his new tool as a trumpet up and down the isle of Hardwick's while his dad searched for non-toy tools. Nothing rekindles a man's first love of tools like seeing a boy use a galvanized funnel as a musical instrument.
