Every member of this house joins the day in their own unique way. We all start our day with different postures and speeds. It is my distinct pleasure to learn and love the morning greetings, some bouncy, come snugly, some slow and draped over my knees. All given with the undercurrent of domestic intimacy. I often need to pause to let the joy of the sleepy vulnerability seep in. All to often the moment is gone in a flash, only to be replaced by a wave of requests for felt needs that somehow only I can fulfill. The pictures below are the first moments of Nina's day, taken on the potty, still warm and wrinkled from the night before. I desperately want to remember this exact moment in her day and life. I hope she will forgive me for the unsuitable setting,
