This is the last full week of school for the Big Kids and Nina and I have been enjoying a few days of flying solo before the 2some become a 4some. The end of this school year mark changes of a bigger sort for Nina and I. This summer will be Nina's first year to participate in summer camps with her older siblings, attend VBS and graduate to a "bigger" kid status of sorts. Nina will also attend half day preschool in the fall which means that our time of running free range have come to an end. She is probably more ready for all these changes than I am. My mouse and I have been constant companions, except for her day with grandma every week, and I am reluctant to call an end to this season. My days have gradually shifted to revolve around a school schedule, less my own flexible time with the kids, and this will only increase with Nina's transition to preschool. Good movement in the right direction, but change. So I am a little sad but also a little excited for all the fun in store for my little mouse.
I took the opportunity to dust off the camera and take some great park shots of Nina today. Its amazing to see her personality shine through.
She "borrowed" her sister's lip gloss, which was hidden in the froggy purse, and proceeded to apply a LIBERAL coat in the car on the way home. Just in time for her to fall asleep.
