There are so many things that I love about my kids' school; the philosophy, the teachers, the location, amazing families......and now I have one more thing to add to the list; Being the single solitary chaperon/van driver/ parent on a field trip! The Five Amigos will expand to include new classmates next year which makes our intimate field trip to Discovery Park feel even more note worthy as the end of this era in their school. We explored the wooded wonderland, hiked to the beach at low tide, discovered beaver dams and basically had a great time tromping through an almost deserted park for the majority of the day. And the teacher and I enjoyed being book ends on a hike that would have been a completely different experience with twice as many kiddos.
