ballerina in the making

This weekend marked a first for the Hurt family; Ballet lessons. Clementine and her buddy Arden are attending a neighborhood ballet class and this saturday was the first session. 16 small girls giggled their way through an hour of prancing and dancing and leaping. Parents and siblings were welcome to watch for the first week, but normally we will drop the girls off with ballet shoes in hand, which sounds very grown up.
It was good for me to watch Clementine dance around and enjoy herself on Saturday. I am often plagued with doubts with regards to my daughter's happiness/adjustment but she looked so normal and happy with her other pink clad cohorts. I am pleased that we can offer her things like ballet lessons and best friends and a parental audience. I love you, my little brown jumping bean!

  1. What a cutie Clementine is! From the videos that we've seen, we think she's got a natural talent for dancing. When we're there in March, maybe she can show us a dance she's learned in ballet class. Please tell her Aunt Jamie is excited to see her!
