The big gift for Elijah and Andrew's birthdays was a train trip to Portland. Our neighbor and friend, Tracy, had some credit with Amtrak that needed using and she generously gave the boys a whole day of train riding. The big attraction in Portland was Uncle Dick and Aunt Susie and the T-Rex. The dinosaur was described to me as "Huge, Huge,
Huge!" With Elijah spreading his arms as wide as they could go. It was a extra special, out of the ordinary day for both of them and a wonderful memory maker.
Besides copious amounts of snacks, I also packed a few train friendly games including a new favorite: Barrel of Monkeys!

He now wants to be a "spaceship driver" when he grows up. That, or a garbage man.
