Garden Party

Friday was garden planting day at the kid's school. The herbs and veggies will grow next to the classroom window so as to keep an eye on the plant's progress. It was satisfying for me to see the kids get muddy and involved. I am pleased that they go to a school that understands the benefits of growing food, even in this small way.

Our buddy and partner in crime, Arden.

Clementine and a "pet" found in the dirt. Elijah found a couple "pet" rolley polley bugs and was devastated when they died on the way home. I think we need to get these kids a dog.

This photo looks like we were on a pee wee work release program

Classmate Fatima digging in.

Student organizers from Seattle U. Or as Andrew and I call them, The Big Kids. Yes, we are getting old.

It is a good day when the guys get to shovel dirt together.
