June

June drew to a close this week and we entered into our first heatwave of the summer. I am sure I will have many Popsicle/pool photos in few days. 

We celebrated a first birthday with dear friends yesterday. It was a garden themed party complete with "dirt" cake, which the birthday boy obviously enjoyed to the fullest. Elijah is looking very much the older the wiser man in this photo.

These are super blurry, but  what's a iPhone camera to do?! All the kids attended VBS at Mount Zion Baptist Church this week. It was a great opportunity for Elijah and Nina to experience being a minority.

Andrew and I celebrated our 17th anniversary with a low key lakeside picnic. We are two busy people and it was such a pleasure to carry on a full length conversation. Ah, the simple pleasures........
