We celebrated Andrew's 39th with a short 24 hour stay on the far west coast of Washington. We have lived in Seattle for 10 years and the stormy, wild coast of the northwest holds a special place in our hearts. It was peaceful and quiet which is exactly what two busy parents needed. We spent the 4 hour travel time reading aloud to each other, riding the ferry and enjoying the natural beauty of the Hoh rainforest. Andrew is one of the hardest working papas out there and it felt good to give him some time off with a little change of scenery.
