Book Club
I was leaving for my book club one night and the kids had some questions about what a book club was and why I needed a club to read books. Good question! I explained to them that once you leave school, you have to make time to read and sometimes it is helpful to get together and talk about the book you are reading with friends. And that when you are grown up, you no longer have recess and P.E. which is why grown ups go jogging and join gyms. Isn't school great that it provides you with all these chances to read and exercise that you don't get as a grown up?! I left out the fact that without books clubs the Chardonnay industry would completely collapse, but that is a discussion for another time. Nina thought the idea of a book club was great and launched into the following narrative about her favorite book; Winnie the Pooh. Enjoy!

I want to hang out with her.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great the questions they ask and the insights we get into what their little brains are thinking? I love it!
