Everything was working in our favor this spring break: The rain abated, grandparents visited, and able bodied kids were in the mood to explore the outdoors. It was a fun and full week.
Nina conquered her Aichmophobia and we were able to give her a cute do that certainly reflects her spunky personality.

Elijah and I had a date night to see the Ann Hamilton exhibit at The Henry Art Gallery. Our visit was mid week and we basically had the whole exhibit to ourselves which was extra special. Each one of her photos was displayed like a pad of newsprint paper and you were invited to choose one to tear off and take home. The tactile nature of the art itself was really suitable for kids and made the "gallery" much more approachable for Elijah....and me!
Our hiking buddy captured this moment when I was trying to persuade Nina that she could safely cross the impromptu log bridge safely.
Cutest hikers ever
The boys and a bend in the river
Our adventure point at the end of a long walk through the woods
Post hike mud
Enjoying the NCAA finals and a snuggle
Although posted here last, our hike on Little Si was one of the first things we did during spring break. Uncle Doug and Elijah lead the pack all the way up AND all the way down. They were well matched in their pace and love for weapon shaped sticks.
