The 2014 school year ends today which is always a bitter sweet time for the kids and I. We are going to miss our friends and teachers, but everyone is ready for a more relaxed schedule and a break from the routine. Thankfully, there are many celebrations at school to help ease us into summer mode...not least of which is Field Day! I chaperoned the morning Field Day (Pre-K and Kindergarten) so all the pictures I have are of the smallest students doing their best to hula, hop and race.
Nina concentrating on her marble and spoon race.
The beloved Mrs. Johnson! I feel go grateful that Nina's first school experience was with this wonderful woman. And although we are sad to leave her class, Nina gets to look forward to having Mrs. Johnson again in the 2nd grade! Mrs. Johnson in also graduating, in a way, and will be staying with our school but as the 2nd grade teacher.
