First Day of School

It is here! Only Christmas rivals the excitement and anticipation of The First Day of School and this year is especially significant. Although the summer was long and warm and wonderful, the kids were really ready to start the rhythm of a new school year and see their friends and teachers. We are returning to our beloved Seattle Classical Christian School and everyone is eager to discover and learn.

Our little girl is starting school this year! You can see by the uniform that Nina is an official student of SCCS and a Kindergartner. This is a big first for her and the girl is READY for the high stakes world of morning Kindergarten.

Elijah is entering the fourth grade and is especially looking forward to the periods of history they will cover this year: Reformation, Middle Ages and the Medival years. We get to have our favorite Mr. Beever again and his excitement about the 4th&5th Grades is infectious.

Clementine is singular is so many ways, but especially so this year. She is the most senior class man of her whole school and the only girl in her class. Our beautiful young lady will have special responsibilities at school and she is feeling quite ready for the 5th grade.

Taking group photos of children is the reason they have the repeat shutter option on cameras.

Mr. Beever and his goofy 4th and 5th graders.

Nina found her spot in class right away!

Nina and I needed a little First Day of School debrief  in the form of an ice cream cone...She got berry and chocolate and I got rose and bay......YUM!
