Having 30 some odd stairs in the house has always been a bit of an issue when the kids are learning to walk. I am not a big one for baby gates as I think the little ones need to learn to navigate the steep terrain, but it can be pretty hazardous before the technique is mastered. Nina is, in general, a hazard to herself these days. And we have now officially added The Stairs to the cocktail. It is a good thing that she has 4 parents to hover over her at all times!

ReplyDeleteI'm not as brave as you--I was researching baby gates last night as Alathea is a hair away from crawling, and we have very steep stairs! It's amazing how similar Nina and Alathea are in some ways. The spitting, the chatting--it gives me dejavu sometimes.
